Go beyond the traditional salad and reach for other greens this summer.
Counting calories and watching your waistline doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor. This time of year the foods are not only delicious, they are colorful and good for the bod.
Keep it simple and add flavors you like. The two photos below demonstrate how easy it can be to eat well. Eggs, a bit of grated cheese, greens, vegetables, goat cheese spread, a bit of bread and avocado. These are all gentle on the grocery bill and are key to assisting you achieve your health goals.

Eggs contain vitamin A, vitamin B12, riboflavin (B2), the antioxidant selenium, lutein and zeaxanthin, which help keep our eyes healthy. Did you know, most of an egg’s calories, vitamins and minerals are found in the yolk? Unless you have severe dietary restrictions, the yolk is always a good idea.

The only fruit that provides a substantial amount of healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), avocado’s are a naturally nutrient-dense food and contain nearly 20 vitamins and minerals. In other words, use them as often as possible.
